Revitalize your Space with these Spring Home Updates

There is something magical about the changing of seasons.

Spring is the perfect time for fresh beginnings and updating various aspects of our lives, from homes to wardrobes.

I can't help but eagerly anticipate the arrival of spring, just like the excitement of the new year.

Are you considering some springtime changes for your home?

Before we dive into the trends, let me clarify something. While we all sincerely appreciate timeless designs and classic materials, there's something undeniably inspiring about the shifts and new design directions.

Here are some of my personal favourites:

Colour Palettes

Sure, warm grays and pristine whites will always have their place, but I love the trend toward more vibrant and natural colour schemes. While I adore the combination of textural neutrals, I'm also a huge fan of bold, deep, and saturated hues.

Fluting

Fluting, an ancient architectural technique featuring shallow grooves across surfaces, has made a comeback. You'll see it in millwork, furniture, and even wall applications nowadays. It's a unique way to add texture and character to any space, and we're excited to reveal some pieces we're working on that incorporate fluting.

Arched

The preference for rounded shapes over straight lines is gaining traction in design, whether in objects, furniture, entries, or built-ins. We're all for it as long as it's used thoughtfully and not overdone!

BOLD - Stone

You couldn't escape it on Instagram last year, and the trend of brighter, bolder, and heavily veined surfaces is here to stay. Consider using it in your kitchen and extending it up the backsplash, or opt for a super thick edge for your vanity. Don't hesitate to mix it with other patterns for a truly unique and bespoke look.

MODERN - Traditionalist

The resurgence of more traditional interiors is quite strong, although it never really left. This time, it involves a robust blend of conventional furniture (think spooled legs), classic fabrics (tiny prints or grandma's florals), architectural elements, and mouldings. Paired with contemporary pieces like lighting fixtures and, you guessed it, bold marble and curvier designs.

As you embark on your spring home updates, keep these trends in mind; they're bound to infuse new vitality into your living spaces and ignite a fresh outlook for the upcoming season.
